After National Success, the Notary Master's Programme Prepares to Host an International Forum

Students of the Notary Master's Programme (MKn) at Unissula have won a range of outstanding awards in a competition held at Unisba Bandung. Sri Ayuning Triana Rizqi Octaviani took first place in the offline notarial deed category, and also second place in the online notarial deed category. Meanwhile Sigit Purnomo, Salvataro Djibran Edwiarka and Argo Victoria took third place in the notarial law debating competition.
The Head of the Notary Master's Programme at Unissula, Dr Jawade Hafidz, accompanied by the programme's Secretary, Dr Nanang Sri Darmadi, welcomed the results. "These are an important achievement by our students. They show that our students have high potential and competence and are ready to compete at national level. Praise be to God that the educational process in our Excellent-accredited programme has produced champions," he said (5/11).
He explained that the awards were won at a communication forum of notary master's programmes attended by 18 private universities across Indonesia on 20–22 October 2022. "If this year's host was Unisba, next year the host will be the Notary Master's Programme at Unissula," Jawade said.
According to Jawade, the forum brings together those running notary master's programmes at private universities across Indonesia to discuss a range of issues, including improving and developing programme management, especially the curriculum; carrying out evaluation; strengthening the code of ethics; organising online deeds; and setting the date of the 2023 forum.
"Both the competition and the forum to be held next year at Unissula will be raised to international level. We will therefore work with the Ministry of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning, the Central Board of the Indonesian Notaries Association, the Central Board of the Association of Land Deed Officials and various other important stakeholders," Jawade added.
To that end, the programme also plans to invite several partner universities abroad to take part in the international forum, which is scheduled for October 2023.
Besides the communication forum and competitions such as deed drafting for notaries and land deed officials and notarial law debating, there will also be a call for papers presentation to strengthen the research climate.
