Jawade Hafidz, Dean of the Faculty of Law at Unissula, Attains the Rank of Professor

The Dean of the Faculty of Law at Unissula, Dr Jawade Hafidz SH MH, has attained the rank of professor. He was awarded the title in the field of administrative law, as recorded in the certificate of competency assessment for academic positions No. 09063/B4/DT.04.01/2025.

The Rector of Unissula, Prof Dr Gunarto SH MH, expressed his appreciation for the achievement. "Praise be to God, more and more Unissula lecturers are attaining the rank of professor. This is a blessing and a mercy from God, for which we must be grateful. This achievement will further raise the academic atmosphere at Unissula, strengthen its competitiveness at national and international level, and reinforce internationalisation programmes at both faculty and university level," he said (1/7/2025).

Jawade has an impressive record in carrying out the three duties of higher education — in education, research and community service alike. He has also shown great initiative and responsibility in leading the Faculty of Law towards international standing through a range of internationalisation programmes.

He has collaborated widely and built educational alliances with law faculties at leading universities around the world, including in Malaysia, Egypt, Brunei Darussalam, Australia and the Netherlands.

He is also active in intensifying research collaboration, international conferences, lecturer and student exchanges, international field study trips, the opening of international classes, and other academic programmes.

Besides building international collaboration, he has strengthened domestic cooperation with, among others, the National Police, the Corruption Eradication Commission, the Prosecution Service, the Judiciary, the Constitutional Court, the Ministry of Law and Human Rights, the House of Representatives, and provincial and district governments, as well as various other institutions.

The aim is to give opportunity and insight to students of the Faculty of Law at every level of study: the Bachelor of Laws, the Notary Master's Programme, the Master of Laws and the Doctoral Programme in Law.
