Universitas Islam Sultan Agung Holds Its 15th Thematic Community Service Programme in Person Once More

Releasing zebra doves as a symbol of the readiness of the students taking part in Unissula's Thematic Community Service programme to return to the community

Unissula has again held its Thematic Community Service (KKN) programme in person, after previous rounds were conducted online. This fifteenth round carries the theme "Thematic Community Service with BudAI". The Rector of Unissula, Prof Dr Gunarto, together with the field supervisors released hundreds of zebra doves. The release symbolises the readiness of the participating students to return to the community. The release took place at the Unissula sports centre (30/1).

A total of 1,028 students are taking part in this fifteenth round and will go out to 45 villages across five sub-districts in Demak Regency: Sayung, Bonang, Karang Tengah, Mranggen and Karangawen.

In his address, the Rector of Unissula, Prof Dr H Gunarto SH MH, urged the students taking part in the fifteenth round to be innovative: over the coming 17 days they should create real work programmes in the villages assigned to them. As members of the younger generation, he said, they should try to design innovative programmes suited to conditions in each village.
