Universitas Islam Sultan Agung (Unissula) Semarang has entered into cooperation with the Faculty of Law of Universitas Muhammadiyah Kendari, Southeast Sulawesi (02/02). The cooperation was marked by the signing of an agreement between the Dean of the Faculty of Law at Unissula, Dr Bambang Tri Bawono SH MH, and the Dean of the Faculty of Law at UM Kendari, Ahmad Rustan SH MH CLA, followed by the signing of an agreement between the Head of the Notary Master's Programme at Unissula, Dr H Jawade Hafidz SH MH, and Dean Ahmad Rustan, in the meeting room on the second floor of the Faculty of Law building.
"We did not expect our visit to the Faculty of Law at Unissula to be received so warmly by the Dean and his colleagues, and we feel greatly honoured. In truth our campus still has many limitations, so achieving an A accreditation is far harder for us than for other universities. We have gathered a great deal of information from friends studying at Unissula about how they manage their study programmes," said Dean Ahmad Rustan SH MH CLA.
He added: "Besides looking to the future, we also hope this cooperation will bring us shared insight into managing study programmes well, so that in time we can follow in the footsteps of the Faculty of Law at Unissula, where every programme holds Excellent or A accreditation. With this cooperation we hope UM Kendari in Southeast Sulawesi can improve, so that our future needs can be met proportionately in terms of numbers."
The Dean of the Faculty of Law at Unissula, Dr Bambang Tri Bawono SH MH, said: "In fact the relationship between our faculty and the Faculty of Law at UM Kendari is already quite good, since one of our lecturers is a graduate of UM Kendari. We hope that with this cooperation the two faculties can share with one another going forward."
He expressed the hope that the cooperation would have a positive impact on both faculties across the academic fields agreed upon. "We hope this cooperation brings good effects, and that it may run well and be put into practice," he said.
The signing ceremony closed with the presentation of a memento from the Faculty of Law at Unissula to UM Kendari.
