In the hall of the Kun Assalam Sentono tahfidz and orphan home, the Faculty of Law at Unissula held an event providing support for orphans and distributing staple foods. One purpose of the event was to seek prayers and blessings for the smooth construction of the faculty's new building and to mark the sixtieth anniversary of the Faculty of Law. Beyond that, the purpose of supporting orphans is to honour them, to nurture social values within the community, and to cultivate good character, generosity and compassion towards others. (03/02)

The event began with an opening and addresses from the Faculty of Law's Vice Dean I, Dr Hj Widayati SH MH, and from the caretaker of the Kun Assalam home, KH Adi Catur. This was followed by a recitation of the Asmaul Husna, the reading of Surah Yasin and a communal tahlil. After the tahlil came prayers led by KH Adi Catur.

In her address, Dr Hj Widayati SH MH said: "With this event supporting orphans, we ask for prayers for the sixtieth anniversary of the Faculty of Law; secondly, prayers that the faculty may continue to maintain its Excellent or A accreditation; and thirdly, prayers that the number of new students enrolling at the faculty this year may continue to rise."

KH Adi Catur said: "May the Faculty of Law at Unissula continue to grow and improve, becoming a model of quality for other faculties and always remaining outstanding."

The distribution of support began with the Head of the Master of Laws programme, Dr Denny Suwondo SH MH, followed in turn by other faculty leaders, each stroking the head of an orphan while offering prayers. After the distribution, everyone shared a meal together.

From Unissula, those present were Vice Dean I Dr Hj Widayati SH MH; Vice Dean II Dr Arpangi SH MH; the Head of the Master of Laws programme, Dr Denny Suwondo SH MH, accompanied by the programme's Secretary, Dr Andri Winjaya Laksana SH MH; the Secretary of the Bachelor of Laws programme, Ida Musofiana SH MH; and alumni of the Faculty of Law, among them Ong Argo and Cahya.
